Yoonjae Choi is a composer whose work explores the musical applications of extended acoustic techniques and spectral sound materials drawn from both instrumental and non-instrumental sources. His compositional works include live electronics and soundscapes, incorporating computer technologies and software while frequently collaborating with media artists and the experimental music scene. His music and research have been presented at international conferences and festivals, including the International Computer Music Conference (ICMC), Australasian Computer Music Conference (ACMC), Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States Conference (SEAMUS), New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival (NYCEMF), Daegu International Computer Music Festival (DICMF), Workshop on Computer Music and Audio Technology Conference in Taiwan, the Performing Media Festival at Indiana, and Electronic Music Midwest.
He studied composition with Richard Dudas at Hanyang University and later earned a master’s degree in computer music composition from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where he studied with John Gibson and Chi Wang. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in composition at the University of North Texas, studying with Panayiotis Kokoras.

최윤재는 작곡가로서 스펙트럴 사운드 재료의 음악적 활용을 탐구하는 작곡가이다. 그의 작품은 라이브 일렉트로닉스와 사운드스케이프를 포함하며, 컴퓨터 기술과 소프트웨어를 적극적으로 활용하는 동시에 미디어 아티스트 및 실험음악 분야와의 협업을 통해 이루어진다. 그의 음악과 연구는 국제 컴퓨터 음악 컨퍼런스(ICMC), 호주 컴퓨터 음악 컨퍼런스(ACMC), 미국 전자음악학회(SEAMUS) 컨퍼런스, 뉴욕 일렉트로어쿠스틱 음악 페스티벌(NYCEMF), 대구국제컴퓨터음악제(DICMF), 대만 컴퓨터 음악 및 오디오 기술 워크숍 (WOCMAT), 인디애나 Performing Media Festival, Electronic Music Midwest 등 다수의 국제 학술대회와 음악 페스티벌에서 발표되었다.
그는 한양대학교에서 Richard Dudas에게 작곡을 사사하였으며, 이후 인디애나대학교 Jacobs 음악대학에서 John Gibson과 Chi Wang에게 사사하며 컴퓨터 음악 작곡 석사 학위를 취득하였다. 현재는 미국 노스텍사스대학교(University of North Texas)에서 Panayiotis Kokoras의 지도 아래 작곡 박사 과정을 밟고 있다.
